Folkwang University of the Arts (Essen/Duisburg, Germany)

 

offers excellent Bachelor and Master programs (performance and pedagogical), as well as specialized courses (BA and MA) on Early Music, Contemporary Music and Chamber Music. In this short video you can meet the teaching staff of the Folkwang Early Music department. Since the wintersemester 2024/2025, I teach the recorder class. * Applications for Wintersemester 2026/27 should be submitted by 15th of March 2026 at the latest (Bachelor and Master).

 

NB. In order to avoid time-consuming efforts and unnecessary costs of travel, the practical application at Folkwang University consists of two parts. After approval of a short video, an invitation will be issued for a live presentation on location. In 2026, these live presentations will be scheduled in the week of May 11. The actual lessons of the Wintersemester 2026/27 start in the week of October 12.
